Tanya Lowery

Tanya Lowery is a native of Monroe, LA. After graduating from Ouachita Christian School, she joined the U.S. ARMY. Upon discharge from the military, she began studying at Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe) where she was an accounting major. Her interest in real estate began when she was looking to purchase her first home in 1996. After going through the process and some encouragement from the real estate broker she used, she changed her major to Real Estate and has never looked back.
Being in the real estate industry since 1999, she has continued to pursue additional education in the real estate field to stay abreast of market trends and current laws and legislation. She has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate, Real Estate Broker’s license, the designations of Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI), and is a graduate of the Louisiana Realtor Association Leadership Program. In addition, she completes numerous continuing education courses each year.
She is a member of the Northeast Louisiana Association of Realtors®, Louisiana Realtors Association, REBAC Council, SRS Council, and National Association of Realtors®. Tanya has served on several local committees as well as the Board of Directors for the Northeast Louisiana Association of Realtors® and is a Past Chair of the Professional Standards Committee for the Northeast Louisiana Realtors Association. She has also served on numerous committees with the Louisiana Realtors Association. Tanya was the youngest broker in the area when she received her broker’s license.
Her parents started the Money Saver (a local weekly shopper paper) when she was a child where she learned how to do layout and design work for advertising. Tanya has also earned a Web Database Development Programmer Certificate and Web Design Certificate from LSU. She has been published in This Old House Magazine - July/August 2007 Issue.
She is the Broker and Co-Owner with her husband Keith Lowery. Together they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. In staying with her military background, she is an avid hunter and also likes horseback riding and fishing.
